Chevrolet radios unlocked online — free, from the seven digits on the unit label.
The number is on the radio, not on the car. Pull the unit out and look at the label on its side: under the GM badge there is a seven-digit number. That is what we work from, and the code it gives is three digits long.
These are the GM South America cars — Brazil and Argentina, built roughly 1994–2009 — and the units are the FIC-built ones: Andara, Sirrah, Shedar, Nedus and the AC Delco players.
This one is free, and we will ask you a question afterwards. So far one owner has typed the code into a real car and confirmed it, which is not yet enough for us to charge for it. Tell us whether it worked and you help everyone who comes after you.
Enter it once. If the radio rejects it, stop there and write to us rather than trying again — these units count attempts, and there is nothing we can do once one locks itself for good.
A 17-character VIN still goes through the form, but we cannot answer those: you will get a plain “not found”, at no charge.
