How to Find your Suzuki Radio Code

A Suzuki head unit asks for its code after any interruption to the power — most often after a battery change.

The serial is on the label on the casing, so the unit has to come forward out of the dash. Nothing on the dashboard, the windscreen or the service book carries it.

Look for the 14-character string starting SU and type it exactly as printed.

Two other numbers sit close to it and neither one works: the part number (39101-86G1, 39930-62RA6 — five digits, a dash, then more) names the model of unit, not yours, and the VIN (MA3EWB32S00138028 — 17 characters, on the windscreen or door pillar) belongs to the car. If what you are holding has a dash in it, it is the part number.

This rule has no owner confirmation yet, so the code is free — unlocked by a share, and we ask you whether it worked.

How to Enter your Suzuki Radio Code

  1. Turn the radio on — it asks for the code.
  2. SX4, Splash and Swift units with a personal code: the owner chose that code, so no service can work it out from the serial. Its digits go in on presets 1–6, one press per digit.
  3. Older Clarion units that show CODE: set the digits on the presets and tell us what the display asks for before confirming.
