Daiichi made two kinds of Fiat radio with the same serial format. Look at the front of the unit: a row of buttons with a small display, or a touchscreen that asks for a password.

Serials come from the label on the casing: Blaupunkt (BP…), Continental (A2C…), Bosch (815… or 13 digits), Fiat’s own (FA…) or DAIICHI (a letter and four digits).

How to Find your Fiat Radio Code

To give you the Fiat radio code we need the serial off the unit’s label. Its first characters tell us who built the radio: BP for Blaupunkt, A2C for Continental, 815 for Bosch, or FA on Fiat’s own labels such as FA0925S1000012.

DAIICHI units are the short exception: one letter and four digits, like S2599. Type the letter too — four bare digits fit three different units, and we would rather ask than guess.

To read that label, take the unit out first. Two release keys from any car-parts shop or online store are all it takes — no other tools, no skills.

Slide the keys into the four holes at the corners of the front panel and press gently; the radio then eases out of the dash.

Skip any long run of digits only, like 735 749 468 0: that is the part number. It names the model of radio rather than your unit, so no code can be worked out from it.

How to Enter your Fiat Radio Code

  1. Power the radio up — CODE appears, then four dashes.
  2. Blaupunkt (BP…) and Bosch (815…) units — Punto, Grande Punto, Idea, Croma, Fiat 500 and most Fiats of 1999–2013: the code uses only the digits 1 to 6. Press the preset with the number of each digit once — for 3512 press 3, then 5, then 1, then 2. There is no confirm button: the radio starts by itself after the fourth digit. Enter all four within 20 seconds.
  3. Visteon units (Stilo, Bravo — the display reads RADIO M-CODE): presets 1–4 each step their digit from 0 to 9, then press 5 to confirm.
  4. Units with a knob that ask for a Password: turn the right-hand knob to set each digit, press it to move on, and press it once more after the fourth digit.
  5. After a wrong code the display shows WAIT or Radio blocked/wait. Leave the ignition and radio on until it clears — a minute after the first wrong code, doubling each time up to 24 hours. Disconnecting the battery does not clear it.
