Only needed if you are entering a VIN: the generation cannot be read from it, and each one builds a different code. If you typed a serial off the unit, ignore this. Not sure which screen? Pick the closest by year — nothing is charged either way.
Please enter your 17-character VIN — from the windscreen plate, the door pillar or the logbook.

How to Find your DS Radio Code

DS screens are the same SMEG family Citroën and Peugeot fitted, so the code comes from the car’s VIN rather than from a serial on the unit — nothing has to be removed.

The VIN is on the plate at the base of the windscreen, on the door pillar, and on your registration document.

The form asks which screen generation is in the car: the VIN alone does not say, and each one builds a different code.

Expect a sixteen-character code, not a four-digit one — that is what these units ask for.

Worth knowing before you start. On these screens the code is not always what unlocks the car: a unit that was swapped between cars is normally re-paired to the VIN with dealer diagnostics instead. If your screen never asks for a code, nothing here applies — and since no owner has confirmed this rule to us yet, we charge nothing for it either way.
