Free Chrysler Aspen Radio Code

Every Chrysler Aspen from 2008 to 2009: which radio was fitted, where its serial number hides, and what we can do with it.

Your code comes from the serial number of the radio, not from the car — so the first job is getting that number off the unit. The table below is your Aspen: the units fitted, and where the serial hides on each.

Already have the serial? Type it in and we will tell you straight away whether we can answer it.

On the same label as the serial: BE and four digits, for example BE 4715.
1234
Only needed for a Becker unit — an 8-character serial. Look at the display and count the dashes it shows for the code; if it wants five digits, count the numbered buttons you actually press to enter them, not the ones on the panel.
12345
Count the numbered station buttons. The code is typed on them, so a five-button radio can only take a code made of the digits 1–5.
Only needed for a Continental label — it starts with A2C. The two generations build the code differently from the same number. If you are not sure, pick by the screen: the 5.0 is the wider touchscreen. Nothing is charged either way.
Only needed for a label that starts with TVPQN. We can work out the code for the Uconnect 5.0 — the radio with a 5-inch touchscreen. If yours is different, or you are not sure, say so: a wrong code locks the radio after a few tries.
A number starting with TZ is often printed on the screen part, not on the radio. The code belongs to the radio unit behind the dash.
That does not look like a Chrysler serial — check the table below for where to find it.
We never ask for the code you are missing — only the serial.

Radio names are what is written on the fascia, not the name of the company that built the unit — a “6000 CD” or an “RCD 300” is what you see in the car. Unit fitment varies by market and trim, so treat the list as the usual case and let the serial decide: it is the serial that determines the code, not the model.

Chrysler Aspen radio code by year

From 2008 to 2009 the Aspen came with the radios below; the serial on the unit is what decides the code.

Chrysler Aspen HG radio code (2008–2009)

On Aspen cars from 2008–2009 the radio fitted was usually one of: MyGIG REN, RER (Harman). The serial reads T00BE…; label on the top of the unit — the radio has to come out of the dash. Send us that serial: the code is free by email within 24 hours, or on the page straight away if you pay to skip the wait.

How to enter the code in your Aspen

  1. Switch the ignition to RUN and the radio on, and wait for CODE. If a touchscreen says Radio Locked, Please Start Vehicle, start the engine — that is not a code request.
  2. Alpine units (label TQ… or TC…): press the preset whose number is each digit, once — for 5452 press 5, 4, 5, 2. These codes use only the digits 1–5 (five presets) or 1–6 (six presets). There is no confirm button: the radio starts after the fourth digit.
  3. Other preset radios: press the preset buttons that match the digits, in order. If the radio does not start after the last digit, tell us what the display shows rather than trying other keys.
  4. Uconnect touchscreens: type the four digits on the screen and press the confirm key if one appears.
  5. After three wrong codes the radio shows WAIT: leave the ignition in RUN and the radio on for 30 minutes without a break (older Alpine units up to two hours). The 4-digit DATE CODE on the label is not your radio code.
Mopar preset radio (RES / REQ type): with CODE on the display, press the preset buttons 1 to 6 that match the digits, in order
Mopar preset radio (RES / REQ type): with CODE on the display, press the preset buttons 1 to 6 that match the digits, in order

Careful: most units lock for good after about ten wrong attempts. If a code does not take, stop and email us before trying again.
