Every Peugeot 508 from 2010 to 2018: which radio was fitted, where its serial number hides, and what we can do with it.
These screens carry no serial of their own: the code comes from the 17-character VIN of the car, plus which screen is fitted. The table below is your 508: the units fitted, and where the serial hides on each.
Already have the serial? Type it in and we will tell you straight away whether we can answer it.
| Generation | Radios fitted | Serial | Where to read it | What we do |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| W2/R8 2010–2018 |
SMEG, SMEG+, NAC | VIN (17 characters) | newer screens carry no serial of their own: the code follows from the car VIN, and we ask which screen is fitted | Free — a share unlocks it |
Radio names are what is written on the fascia, not the name of the company that built the unit — a “6000 CD” or an “RCD 300” is what you see in the car. Unit fitment varies by market and trim, so treat the list as the usual case and let the serial decide: it is the serial that determines the code, not the model.
From 2010 to 2018 the 508 came with the radios below; the serial on the unit is what decides the code.
On 508 cars from 2010–2018 the radio fitted was usually one of: SMEG, SMEG+, NAC. The serial reads VIN (17 characters); newer screens carry no serial of their own: the code follows from the car VIN, and we ask which screen is fitted. We can work it out, and while the rule behind it is still being confirmed the code is free — all we ask is that you tell us whether it fitted.
Careful: most units lock for good after about ten wrong attempts. If a code does not take, stop and email us before trying again.
W2/R8 (2010–2018): VIN (17 characters), newer screens carry no serial of their own: the code follows from the car VIN, and we ask which screen is fitted.
Yes — while the rule behind it is still being confirmed the code is free, and we ask you to tell us whether it fitted.
Older units: preset buttons 1–4 set the digits, then hold the rightmost preset to confirm. RT6 and SMEG screens take a long alphanumeric code typed on the touchscreen. Your code email spells out the steps for your exact unit.
